This noncredit "bridge" course provides training for Medical Assistants to transition to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Upon successful completion of the course, this 36-hour training will allow the MA to become eligible to take the Nursing Assistant Certified exam. Basic Life Support training is included in the course.

Students who successfully complete the coursework and meet instructor evaluation requirements will take the Washington state nursing assistant skills exam on the final day of class (first attempt is included with the course). Passing the skills exam is required to pass the course. After successfully completing the course, students become eligible to take the written certification exam (scheduled separately).

Please read:  The Nursing Assistant Skills Exam is incorporated into the class. After passing the skills exam, students are eligible to sit for the written exam administered by Credentia (separate exam fee paid directly to Credentia). The last day of the class is the designated skills exam day.
