This noncredit "bridge" course provides training for Home Care Aides to transition to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Upon successful completion of the course, this 36-hour training will allow the HCA to become eligible to take the Nursing Assistant Certified exam. Basic Life Support training is included in the course.

Students who successfully complete the coursework and meet instructor evaluation requirements will take the Washington state nursing assistant skills exam on the final day of class (first attempt is included with the course). Passing the skills exam is required to pass the course. After successfully completing the course, students become eligible to take the written certification exam (scheduled separately).
