Join expert instructor Susan Ballinger and other inquisitive locals to learn about the three ecosystems within the Wenatchee watershed: shrub-steppe, low-elevation montane forest, and riparian. Classes are hands-on, utilizing special study collections, microscopes, and field guides. Local experts will visit our class to share their expertise. We will venture out on four field trips, exploring habitats along the White, Entiat, and Wenatchee River corridors, guided by expert guest field biologists. The class is designed to inspire a deeper connection to the wonders of our valley and to bring new sources of joy to your everyday life. Throughout the course, you will be introduced to an array of local conservation organizations. To learn more about the Wenatchee Naturalist program, visit: www.wenatcheenaturalist.com.
